BARK IN THE PARK -- A community effort to STOP animal over-population - 09/24/2008

Krewe des Chiens 2009 Dog Parade's Royalty to be chosen at Bark in the Park DRAWING TIME: 2 p.m.

Krewe des Chiens (Krewe of the Dogs) will join Lafayette Animal Aid at their 10th annual Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park will be held, Sunday, October 5th at Girard Park in Lafayette. The event will be held from 11 a.m. til 3 p.m.

The festival events include a pet demonstration and dog contests such as: best tail wager, most talented and most original costume. The days events also include games for the human kids, raffles, pet photos and micro-chipping. Local animal shelters and rescue organizations have been invited to attend and will be on hand to help you find a furry addition to your family. Krewe des Chiens mascot "Snippit" will be on hand to spread the word on what we can do to help prevent pet over population.

Krewe des Chiens 2009 Dog Parade Royalty will be chosen by raffle at 2 p.m. Raffle tickets are $50 for King or Queen and $25 for Duchess, Duke or Court Jester. There will be 5 separate drawings. The 2009 parade "Love is in the Hair" will be held Saturday, February 14th.

Lafayette Animal Aid is a non-profit Animal shelter located in Carencro. Krewe des Chiens is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to help animal shelters and animal aid organizations in the Acadian area.
