Get Comprehensive and Expert Reviews of Boudin - 02/03/2005

Two educators from Lafayette run BoudinLink.com, a web site that provides detailed and sophisticated reviews of links of boudin throughout South Louisiana.

Known as "The Linksters," the two educators have undertaken a systematic taste-test to help bring clarity to the question, "Who has the best boudin?" Each location is rated on a scale of A+ to D and such factors as the casing, spiciness, texture, rice to meat ratio and overall taste all help determine the link's score. Photos of the establishments and maps are available on the site and help guide visitors to the locations they decide to sample.

This unique and useful web site has attracted attention from gourmands and displaced Cajuns across the country and overseas. Since debuting a year ago, the reception of www.boudinlink.com has been tremendous and positive. The site taps a passion that locals and visitors alike embrace - good local food at good local places.

Boudin is one of South Louisiana’s most treasured culinary delights: A flavorful combination of rice, pork, green onions, and spices fill a natural casing and links of this delicacy are consumed by locals for breakfast, lunch, a snack or even dinner.
