For the past 30 years, Prejean's Restaurant is known in this area for its great Cajun food and music. Owner Walter Guilbeau wanted his customers to experience first-hand what he knew from his own experience: the food and the music just go together. Oddly enough, Guilbeau first got the idea for Prejean's while working in California because he missed his Cajun homeland so much. Upon his return to Acadiana, Walter Guilbeau built his restaurant on land passed down to him from his grandparents. By filling his restaurant with as much local culture as he could, Guilbeau created what he believes to be the ultimate "Cajun Experience."
When you enter the restaurant, you are instantly greeted by "Big Al," a fourteen-foot alligator. Throughout the restaurant, you will find decorations that represent Cajun culture. Prejean's proudly displays the many awards and medals won by their chefs, including the award for being voted the best Cajun restaruant by the TImes of Acadiana.
Prejean's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a wonderful selection of steaks, seafood, and everything in-between. With great music, decor, and food, you can be sure that Prejean's will provide you with a culinary experience that will please all your senses.
